I've been making games in Flash for almost six years now. For as long as I can remember I've been fascinated by games and the way they can make you feel. The wish to make games and entertain is what made me spend the last three years studying game design and honing my skills as a developer. I feel that Flash is the perfect tool for me to be able to easily create games that, while they may not last forever, at least bring a smile to your face and waste an hour or two. argblargs was created together with two web-programmers and three graphic artists. It's an online game community with RPG-style character development. The in-game editor let's you customize your avatar using the 500+ unique items. All these can be scaled, rotated and positioned. You earn new items by playing minigames on the site, four of wich also are developed by me. It uses amfphp for client/server communication. Click below to view the game. http://www.argblargs.com/
Six very different games in five weeks. Prototyprally was a project inspired by the site "experimentalgameplay.com", it's about making games that work in new ways and making them fast. I opted for the fastest schedule I dared, one game every three days (excluding weekends). Many of these games were successful beyond my wildest imagination, they have generated more than quarter of a million unique pageviews and have been sold on to various gaming sites. After making the prototyprally games I wanted to spend a little longer on a single game. Out of this came Eater of worlds, using advanced caching techniques you can roll up a ball the size of your screen. Other features include: Custom soundtrack, a level preloader with multiserver fallback, advanced logging of gameplay statistics and a level format that allows me to animate the entire level in time with the music. This game was made (so far) exclusively for a game design competition at Jay is games. It had to be rushed a bit in the final stages of development, but I think it turned out nice in the end. This is also my first foray into AS3. http://jayisgames.com/cgdc4_redirect.php?gameID=23
A campaign site for a brand of food. Visitors can conveniently upload pictures directly in the flash movie. It also features a tool to administrate the entries. http://www.lunchrummet.se
I had a slightly different role than usual On Sacred Gear. I mainly worked on 3D-graphics, texturing and unwrapping. I was also responsible for getting things into the game engine. Making this game was a different experience, and I really think it's an impressive result for ten weeks worth of time. See the site below for more info. http://www.baphometgames.com/
Flashpipes was originally created as a prototype for a client who later chose another solution. It's one of my most played games with over a quarter of a million views. It was also the first game I made with Nintendo's Wii console in mind, it plays excellently on this aswell. Click below to play the game. http://www.grapefrukt.com/blog/pipes/
A guide made for introducing new players to parbet's betting exchange. It's an interactive slideshow that let's the user try out the system without having to worry about real money. It supports multiple languages by loading different language files from the server, these can be easily updated to reflect new content. http://www.parbet.com/
Dingding is a game made originally for argblargs.com. It features the well known "match the colors" gameplay with a nice twist. Sound is also an integrated part of the gameplay. The game uses my homegrown particle engine for nice visual effects. Click below to play the game. http://www.argblargs.com/games/7/
Flashbombs is a game made originally for argblargs.com. This, as many of my other games, tries to explore different ways of constructing gameplay. This game started as a toy and soon evolved to feature a combo-focused way of playing with nice visual effects. Click below to play the game. http://www.argblargs.com/games/3/
